We wanted to create a longboard that would allow users to know where they are going without having to look at their phones for help. The Lux Longboard points the way with LED's and an integratd app that guides the way, and helps longboarders be more visible. The board is also made of sustainable materials and comes in smart, reusable packaging.
The packaging would be made of carboard and comes with a mounting bracket so you can reuse the packaging as a shelf to store the board.
The board communicates with the user using LED lights. The user inputs an address and begins their trip. When the user needs to turn, the board will indicate if they need to turn left or right by flashing LEDs on the appropriate side. The user's progress is monitord in the middle of the board: the closer you get the final destination, the brighter the middle becomes. Not only does this help the user know where to go, it also helps with visibility during night-time rides.
