Assemble, Share, play and spread Happiness

The objective of the course was to develop a product or a range of product which would either be inspired by or reflected the culture of Bhutan.  This was a four week course, where the weeks were divided systematically into research, brainstorming, and prototyping and refining. During the period of this course we were also supposed to learn about the arts and craft of Bhutan so that we would develop products within the realm of those boundaries and also use those arts and crafts to our advantage. The objective was to widen our perspectives and encourage an attitude to use our textile knowledge to create more three dimensional products.

One of my main criteria’s was to create a product that brings together the essence of Bhutan and tries to explain what Bhutan believes in i.e. harmony, peace, togetherness and most importantly happiness.
Personalize your space, create your own little space to read, write or draw. These cushions can create absolutely a different atmosphere in any environment. Spread them on the ground, furniture, terrace etc and create your own private little space. These cushions because of their colours ad shape bring a sense of happiness and joy to a place. Bhutan is the only country in the world which has a GDH in place of GDP. GDH stands for gross domestic happiness, which is a measure of happiness among the people of a country. Bhutan is considered to be one of the happiest countries in the world. Through this product I tend to spread their message of peace harmony and most importantly happiness.
