United Way of Southwest Alabama is a non profit organization that hosts a annual Day of Caring to get the community involved in helping others. This day is used to get volunteers to help clean up, restore, and build new community used equiptment. They came to a group of students and presented to project as a tshirt design that they would give to all the volunteers that help out on the Day of Caring. My design was intended to use the man from the united way logo and incorporate it as a trunk of a tree that inculded fingerprints. This concept came from the idea that it takes all of the individual fingerprints to build a better community. They chose my design as the winner and I was able to see this on tshirts around the community.
