PlantVacation is a project based on system design to encourage Urban Farming and Gardening amongst the citizens of Shanghai.
The project was undertaken while I was attending a workshop at the International Design Summer School (IDSS) in 2014 in China. The aim of IDSS is to bring together Design students from different countries for collaboration and group work thus giving the students the enriching experience of cultural exchange.
The topic for IDSS 2014 was Urban Farming. Students were divided in groups of three to work together and create innovative ideas to encourage Urban Farming or Gardening amongst the citizens of Shanghai after studying the possiblities in the city of the same.
