Today, apistarter.com is making it's debut into the home automation market. We crafted and perfected a product that we think you'll love. It's at the forefront of smart home automation, internet of things, and technology.

We call the product Lightswitch. It's a virtual lightswitch for your smart bulbs, such as Philips Hue lights. It's also a dynamic lighting solution.

The most advanced home lightning solutions are called smart lights. They typically consist of digitally connected lights and a smart phone companion app, for a world class automated home, or so they say. The problem is they're not so smart, and they're not so easy to use.

We made an app that is dead simple - the first virtual lightswitch. It lives in your browser, and with a click of a button allows you to turn off the lights in your own house. No need to get up, no need to grab your phone from it's dock. This is how lightswitch should be.

If you look at the outside world around us, you immediately notice natural light is not constant. It's exactly the opposite. It's constantly shifting. The world spins, the shadows move, the color temperature changes throughout the day.

Thus we introduced dynamic lighting scenes, the first ever that work within the browser. They shift color in loops, such as Romantic Red, Disco, and Sunset.

Lighting hasn't been revolutionized for 134 years. It has produced more efficient and long lasting lightbulbs, but not much resolved problems we face everyday at home. We are right on the edge of something big, something unique to the beginning of a larger revolution. Recent advances in wireless technologies and their acceptance by people, LED hardware prices fell, and now it's up to programmers to make the experience seamless, smart, and with feeling.
