Trópico is a Mexican furniture brand specialized in Acapulco chairs and other kinds of hand-woven furniture.

 

The purpose behind the design of this brand was to show the diversity in colour and usefulness of the famous Acapulco chair, a great example of anonymous, Mexican furniture design, without making an obvious reference to its artisanal origins and focusing instead on the object itself.

 

Thus, its graphical elements are intended to be purposedly re-arranged in endless posibilities, in order to reflect the different contexts and use of hand-woven objects and furniture.
