SS16 Menswear
This project was based on a basic ethnographic research on a Singaporean subculture (in the sense of a subgroup of society). I chose South Asian foreign workers in Singapore as my topic of investigation. I designed a capsule collection of 5 jackets based on this research.
The second part of the project requires me to choose one deconstruction method and to work on the mannequin and to create a second capsule collection of 5 jackets based on my deconstructed garment.
The final part of the project is where I combined both research and both capsule collection to create a final 5-look capsule collection, in a bid to modify/enhance the underlying meaning of our research.
