Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde Postcards

CLIENT

BRIEF
Design a set of 3 postcards for a theatre performance, using only paper experiments as a means for imagery. Each postcard should be a unique composition in itself, but the set should work systematically as a whole; visually and conceptually. The final pieces should convey the mood of the play through abstract means.

SOLUTION
Based on the story by Robert Louis Stevenson, Dr. Henry Jekyll believes that there are two distinct sides to men - a good and an evil side. He believes that by separating the two, man can become liberated. I focused on portraying this idea through my imagery, using bright-saturated colors and dark shadows to simulate the good and evil in man. The imagery was created using highly abstract images of tissue paper that I manipulated through Photoshop. Through use of color and typography design, I aimed at creating a mysterious yet enticing feel to these postcards.
