Blogging For Information, Blogging For SEO

What is your purpose? Is your goal to be at the top of Google searches? Do you want a relevant topic? Do you want the most hits?
How would you like to have 175 likes and 97 shares? These blog posts below for WeatherNation TV had well over 5,000 hits each, and over 100 Facebook likes to go with numerous Twitter interactions. The reason? Strategic writing. They matched the season and people's sentiments.
After writing the post about spring & gardens, or any blog post - it's all about cross-promotion between channels. How do I get the most hits on the blog, and how can the blog drive hits to the website and our social media channels?

In this instance we achieved 175 Facebook likes and 97 shares. When you calculate the total amount of likes and total exposure, you're looking at over 500 total likes and thousands of views. See the whole post below:

It's all about starting a conversation. What do people care about? Why do they care about what I'm posting?

I write to make my blogs relatable to topics at hand.

This blog post below had hits measuring into the thousands - but it used a less seasonal approach, and more of an "every man" approach: Rain. Everyone gets rained on sometimes, why not explore the stats behind it?
