Fishtank App Final Display Board
The Iphone App Project was a collaborative project in which we were put in pairs to design an app that better facilitated group communication in some way. We began with preliminary research of interviewing three different people who were in organizations of some kind about what their struggles with communicating with each other were. After our interviews, my partner, Benjamin Markoch and I, decided to create an app that focused on the hierarchies of group communication, namely, communicating with smaller groups within a larger group. We did some research on group communication apps, and  Our example that we used is a fictional sorority based in Raleigh, NC. The wireframes show someone accessing their sorority group, then accessing their "circles" within the larger group. They can also assign tasks to just one of the smaller circles, and have conversations with those smaller circles, rather than the entire massive group. The app has a simple, easy to use interface that makes it easy to understand and access the "groups within groups." Another feature is the "search groups" section, where users can search for groups in their area, and request to become a member of that group if it allows requests.

Another major component of the app was creating a clickthrough of the wireframes using the program Axure. The project was focused on learning the ins and outs of a new program, and incorporating animation from Flash or After Effects to add dimension to the clickthroughs.
