In this project, we were given the prompt to create six symbols that represented a concept. I chose the idea of fleeting moments and the motions that they create. I began by creating pen and ink drawings as demonstrated below.
Next, after developing a collection of symbols, I painted each in an overall composition playing with color integration and noticing how the symbols interact amongst each other.
After creating this painting and considering which symbols were most effective, I created a second piece ellaborating upon the concept and creating an overall feeling of what I interpret a fleeting moment to be.
