In November of 2013, the Faculty of FIne Arts of Porto, organized a series of workshops dedicated to printing techniques by artists and professor from around the world, called Pure Print. One of these workshops included the mezzotint technique, which consists in engraving an image in a copper plate. In this three day workshop, we prepared the copper plates for engraving, chose or created an image to be transfered to the plates and printed the final image. For this workshop I decided to create a two colour print which needed two plates. Considering the short time we where given to print the images, the workshop coordenator, Hugo Besard prepared the colour plate.
