Character Brooches
Character Brooches explore letter forms as marks made by the body. When read through the lens of graphology (psychology of handwriting), handwritten letterforms are a revealing personal residue. The brooches are silhouettes of forms in handwriting that are indicative of a positive character trait. We reveal our characters through the characters of our language. A wearer may choose a brooch as a badge for a trait they are proud of possessing or she may choose a brooch that represents a trait she wishes to possess. The symbol then serves as a reminder to exhibit that trait. The accompanying accordion book allows a wearer to familiarize themselves with the "language" of the brooches.
