When asked to choose a personal collection that would become the basis for my studio project, I chose my herd of endangered soft toys. Recreating animals out of synthetic materials when they are under a significant threat in our world today is ironic.
The same aesthetic is always used in regards to endangered species. I wanted to bring a new perspective to the issue by portraying the messages that we are sending to future generations. I question the seriousness with which we percieve the degradation of the species.
