Succulent Gardeners Quarterly Newsletter

This is the cover spread for the newsletter. This was designed to be a two color print job. I designed the nameplate and illustrated all of the succulents featured throughout the publication.
These are the vector illustrations I designed to use instead of photography throughout the newsletter. To maintain the two color printing limitation, these illustrations offer visual interest, whereas duotone or monotone photos would not have fit into the overall feel of the publication.
This is the interior spread of the newsletter. I wrote all of the body copy for the publication, though the names and events are fictitious. The spread is balanced out by the masthead on the left hand side, and the organization's announcements featured on the right.
The first page of the newsletter as a whole. In the center of the newsletter, where they type is rotated, is where the newsletter has a horizontal fold. A center vertical fold separates the front and back, and a final horizontal fold makes it mailer-friendly.
This calendar was designed for the back of the newsletter. It allows members of the organization to keep up with important dates for planting, propagating, and fertilizing, as well as organization events throughout the quarter. It also leaves enough space for members to keep up with personal dates. The muted color palette lends itself to feeling of growth while maintaining budget-friendly printing expenses. The publication was printed on a single sheet and designed to fold for mailing.
On the left is the front side of the newsletter as a whole, with the back side on the right.
