Aikyam
is a personal project. "Aikyam" which means "Unity" in Sanskrit, is a ceramic candle stand in the form of an abstract human tower symbolizing the strength of unity.
The form of the product is directly inspired from human towers. The final form evolved from the ideation and prototyping process.
The prototypes were made out of ceramic clay. The first prototype was hand-built and the form was later refined. The final prototype was thrown on the wheel, carved, fired, glazed and fired again.
