An Architectural Analysis of Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House
This project was completed for a course in interior design drafting and graphics. The purpose of the assignment was to analyze a certain aspect of a work of architecture. This included drawing a site plan, ground plan, elevations, and section, as well as creating diagrams to illustrate characteristics of the building - in this case the idea of the Farnsworth House as temple or cottage, as described by Simon Unwin in Analysing Architecture. The final product was a poster and presentation
The ground plan, elevations, section, and axonometric of the house were drafted by hand, traced in pen, scanned, and modified in Adobe PhotoShop for presentation.
