At the beginning of 2014 I graduated at the Fotovakschool Amsterdam, after four years of studying photographic design. Everyone was free to choose their own project and we all picked something close to our own identity.
My graduation project has been a combination of my passion for cinema and photography.
The series is called Survivor and it has the look and feel of a post-apocalyptic movie. The story is set in a world where only a few people are left alive and they have to go to great lengths to survive. Our protagonist lives alone in a ruined Amsterdam.
These eight images should be viewed as stills in a larger story.The wide angle shots, with a cinematic crop and the black bars are a recognisable format for anyone who has been to the cinema.
