My artwork takes a critical view of society. In these images, I destroy and reconstruct a person’s face representing an outside force twisting their original personality. The mirror can reflect the expression of the face, but it’s hard to find every perspective identifying, which is real and, which is a reflection. That may confuse viewers about the ideas that they get from this painting.
My inspiration came from my previous artwork, which expressed the same focus of this social issue. Society lives in a physical world full of power, money, and violence. Sometimes people are forced to do things they don’t wanted to do. Usually simple portraits are not related to this social issue. That’s why I deconstruct my subject matter into pieces and establish a new face. Currently, my work is drunk with the unconsciousness of human dreams.
