Maremagnum comes from the Latin 'mare magnum', that means 'great sea', and it is a noun that is applied in abundance, greatness or confusion of a particular event, or a confused crowd of people or things, etc.
To represent this word, I decided to use a composition that evokes the sea, both the colors and the sinuous, and was also a mix of elements that are mixed with each other. The technique used is watercolor, to evoke the sea is ideal for its watery texture and semi-translucent. The colors are achieved with this technique are very close to the colors that can be found in the sea.
The act of writing the word 'maremagnum' repeatedly and overlapping them with each other and using different sizes, remembers the waves of the sea when it's in motion and there's not a mathematical order that governs
the forms obtained.
Moreover, the sound of pronouncing the word 'maremagnum' is very rounded, and this aspect is also expressed with rounded shapes attained by the stroke of the brush.

Maremàgnum prové del llatí ‘mare magnum’, que significa ‘mar gran’, i és un substantiu que s’aplica, per extensió semàntica, a l’abundància, grandesa o confusió d’un event determinat, o la munió confusa de persones o coses, etc.
Per realitzar la il·lustració, s’ha optat per utilitzar una imatge que evoca el mar, tant amb els colors com amb les formes sinuoses, i que també fos una confusió d’elements que es barregen els uns amb els altres. La tècnica utilitzada és l’aquarel·la, ja que per evocar el mar és la ideal per la seva textura aquosa i semi-translúcida. Els colors que s’aconsegueixen amb aquesta tècnica també s’aproximen molt als colors que es poden trobar al mar.
El fet d’escriure la paraula ‘maremagnum’ de forma repetida i solapant-les les unes amb les altres i utilitzant diferents mides, recorda a les onades del mar, que quan està en moviment no hi ha un ordre matemàtic que governi
les formes que s’obtenen.
D’altra banda, el so que s’obté de pronunciar la paraula ‘maremagnum’ és molt arrodonit, i aquest aspecte també s’expressa amb les formes arrodonides aconseguides mitjançant el traç del pinzell.
