Inspired by the great books for our future, I was passionate about creating a poster with a strong impact. I highlighted facts and numbers from “Design Like You Give a Damn” to convey bold and shocking information. I then incorporated the motto of “Massive Change;” “It’s not about the world of design, it’s about the design of the world.” Bruce Mau, the author, also states; “Design is the method by which we change things.” I combined a quote from Cradle to Cradle as well; “It’s not about sustainability, it’s about innovations, about doing good.” Uniting meaningful quotes and shocking statistics create a strong typographic statement about the impact of humanitarian design.

This photo collage conveys an uplifting atmosphere. I captured the essence of a morning stroll in Savannah with dynamic colors, an energetic flow, and unique patterns and textures found in nature. The cluster of repeated peacock feathers push the eye up into the golden warmth, which carries the journey along a curve through complimentary magenta and chartreuse textures. To me, nothing can be more uplifting than the vivid hues and patterns of nature!
