Rain / Leporello/ silent book

Description:
"Rain" is a captivating silent book designed in a leporello format, following the heartwarming story of a young boy who loves to draw with colorful chalks.

Concept:
This silent book aims to convey a vivid narrative without words, relying on expressive illustrations to depict the boy's journey. The story begins with the boy happily drawing vibrant pictures on the pavement with his chalks. His joy is evident as he fills the space with a riot of colors.

Turning Point:
As rain clouds gather and the first drops begin to fall, the boy's initial happiness turns to sadness, fearing his colorful creations will be washed away. However, as the rain continues, the colors from his drawings mix with the water, creating a magical, colorful puddle.

Conclusion:
In the final scenes, the boy's sadness transforms into joy once more as he starts to splash and play in the rainbow-like puddles. The illustrations capture his transition from disappointment to delight, emphasizing the beauty of finding joy in unexpected moments.

Artistic Approach:
The leporello format allows for a continuous, unfolding visual experience, drawing readers into the boy's world. The vibrant colors of the chalks and the dynamic transformation brought by the rain are highlighted through detailed and expressive illustrations.

Objective:
This project aims to inspire a sense of wonder and resilience in young readers, illustrating that even when things seem to go wrong, there is often beauty and joy to be found in the outcome.

Target Audience:
"Rain" is designed for children and adults alike, encouraging imaginative exploration and emotional connection through its silent storytelling.
