Nestled in the Himalayan region of Ladakh, Jamyang Lamdon School is situated in Khalsi, approximately 95 kilometers from Leh city. Managed and administered by the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) with the assistance of the Education Committee, comprising education veterans, young professionals, and social workers, the school aims to provide an integrated-holistic education to its children, mentoring them for a brighter future.
In July 2023, I had the opportunity to document the daily life of the school children, capturing the unique blend of traditional and modern education in a remote yet enchanting location. Through these photographs, I aim to showcase the resilience, joy, and dedication of the students and staff, offering a glimpse into their world and the impact of quality education in this picturesque yet challenging environment.
