Concept Note:
The Infinity symbol on the UPI credit card design represents seamless, boundless transactions and perpetual financial connectivity. It signifies the card's ability to offer unlimited possibilities and continuous access to credit. This design element underscores the promise of a limitless and smooth user experience in the digital payment landscape.
Initial Drafts:
In the initial stages of our project, several design options were explored to ensure the final solution was both innovative and practical. We began by brainstorming a broad range of concepts, which were then refined through iterative feedback and feasibility assessments.
Grid System:
A construction grid for credit card design ensures an organized and visually appealing layout by using a 12-column grid system for alignment and balance. Standard card dimensions are 85.60 mm × 53.98 mm, with consistent margins around the edges to avoid cutting off elements. Key information such as the cardholder name, card number, expiration date, chip, and logos are strategically placed within the grid, ensuring even spacing and proper alignment for readability. Important details are emphasised with larger columns or bold fonts, maintaining a clear visual hierarchy and professional appearance.
