These are compositions that include 5 - 8 different glyphs in black or white using Neue Haas Grotesque Bold (san serif) and Stemple Garamond Roman (serif). I started out drawing 12 thumbnail sketches of the sans serif and 12 of the serif. I then created digital images to duplicate as well as possible the thumbnail sketches. Once that was done I took one of each of the sketches and modified 12 versions of each using Adobe Illustrator. I then chose the best of those and using photoshop placed them on the sisal background as you can see above.
