Escape after change and continuous evolution prevent us from realizing our own roots. Who are we when the light fades? Who are we when no one sees us? Who are we when we strip ourselves of clothes and social conditions? Who are we in the absence of judgment? The answers to these questions are closely correlated with the works of artist Larisa Petcuț, in the series entitled "LABELS - a difference in perception". The series brings to the forefront a collection of clothing with massive and sculptural forms, which do not exactly follow the human silhouette and do not adhere to typical gender distribution, all in an attempt to question norms and social conventions.

The Roots performance aims to offer a profound artistic experience by exploring the metamorphic concept of the individual. Through the artistic mastery of drag shows and their practitioners, the show aims to highlight the process of personal transformation and evolution. Using the stage, light, and the surroundings of the red curtain, the show reflects the atmosphere of a society in which each individual feels exposed to the gaze and judgments of others.

Key elements of the performance include choreography, music, and stage presence, all contributing to the artistic conveyance of the concept of authenticity through change. The performance aims to underline that each individual is in a continuous state of change, seeking authenticity in a constantly changing world. The reality to which Roots returns is not just a reminder of origins, but also a call to the courage to embrace oneself as they are. Gazelleh, Ana Sassin, and Van der Ler show us more than just a drag show, they show us a real and raw process of social marginalisation and reconciliation with true identity.

Through this performance, the audience is invited to explore their own personal evolution, to connect with the idea of change, and to find their own authenticity. Roots thus becomes an artistic mirror of inner search and individual transformation, offering an emotional and reflective experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional performance.
