Meet Rafael, a quirky character from my latest creative venture, an adventure on the whimsical world of Malandrolândia, a place where the fantastical meets the everyday.
It’s a story about grown-ups who stumble upon a second childhood, piecing together their shattered spirits and hearts. It’s about rediscovering Grace, with all its rich and varied meanings. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill tale; it’s about heroes who save the day not with grandiose powers, but with the infectious power of a giggle and a bit of goofiness. Our superheroes are just regular folks embracing their ‘clown persona’, channeling the fearlessness and boundless dreams of kids, and in doing so, finding the courage to dream once more.
Diving into the artistic side, I’ve taken a detour from the usual 3D flair. Instead, I’m painting my characters with strokes of cell shading and cartoon vibes, steering clear of the kiddie pool and wading into the edgier waters of adolescence and comic book grit. It’s all about capturing raw emotions and the subtle dance of expressions. Think of it as a canvas where every furrowed brow, every twinkle in the eye, tells a deeper story. From the wisps of hair to the arch of an eyebrow, every detail is crafted to breathe life and authenticity into our cast of characters.
