Typography Design Song Lyric
I chose my favorite song lyric to design for this typography project, and decided to base my design around the concept of heaven, since the song this lyric is from is called "trench coat angel". I used a white and blue gradient background to represent the idea of clouds and the sky above to represent the "heavens" and selected a heavy and stylized font for the main part of the lyric. I used the italicized version of the same font to emphasize certain words within the quote, and for the final line I selected a cursive font to help contrast with the other text. I chose an alternating alignment for each line of text to give interest to the design, and used a black border to frame the quotation and make it feel more contained within the piece.
