Crafting a Lamp Inspired by Japanese Lanterns

In the realm of artistic projects, inspiration often arises from a fusion of cultural symbols and personal passions. My project emerges from such a union, where the iconic Japanese lanterns, revered as symbols of luck and joy, intersect with my profound love for flowers, particularly the ethereal Sakura blossoms.

Motivated by the desire to blend these two concepts seamlessly, I embarked on a journey to create a lamp that not only illuminates but also serves as a testament to aesthetics. Through this project, I aim to encapsulate the timeless beauty of Japanese tradition and the delicate allure of Sakura blooms, infusing them into a singular piece that radiates elegance and charm.
Process Overview
Lantern Creation: Utilizing 3D printing and laser cutting to craft the lantern structure and intricate wooden panels.

Lamp Integration: Using Arduino and LED lights, I code and integrate the lighting system into the lantern.

Sakura Flower Crafting: Making delicate Sakura flowers from crepe paper, blush, and beads to adorn the lamp.

Through this process, I aim to fuse modern technology with traditional craftsmanship, creating a lamp that embodies both innovation and artistic beauty.
