Run Ninja - Game Design

This project was a lot of fun to do, I love working with this theme, I'm passionate about Japan and its culture, I love ninjas, I've always been a fan of games on this theme and having the opportunity to create something like this is special for me.
Here we have a short trailer of the game, if you want to play a little just access it through this link here ~> https://www.construct.net/en/free-online-games/run-ninja-62717/play
I've put together some screenshots showing some interesting bits of the game, like the enemy and some collectibles.
Animation, the most fun part when talking about games, here I was able to explore a little more the rigg system of Adobe Animate to create these more fluid movements, at the end of the presentation there is a video of the creative process of the enemy.
I also worked with the general layout of the game, doing all the UI/UX design, I wanted to keep this theme of japan using this font and scrolls, I remember seeing this a lot in games when I was a kid and I wanted to do the same.
Here we have some collectibles from the game, I love these animal masks, and I wanted to make my own versions of them, I like to work with very strong colors, because that way they contrast well with the background scenery. Each collectible item generates a different colored explosion animation, when you go through them they explode in various colors, it's very beautiful to see haha
This time I worked with a tile scheme, it would be easier to elaborate each level of the level that way, here are some examples that I used in the scenario, I also made several decorations to customize each level, thus creating unique environments. The background and the trees I designed in photoshop, because I needed to make the background beautiful to excite the player more, being able to see this scenario all alive makes the game more enjoyable. I left a screenshot of the layer scheme I used in Construct 3, so you can see better how the scheme was to create this environment.
I hope you enjoyed this game, I had a lot of fun during the process, despite facing several bugs that almost made me freak out, the end result was extremely satisfying.
