SPINE CORSET
first project using 3D printing technology.
Inspired by HR GIger artwork and human bones as ‘architecture of the body’, I adopted 3D printing as elected mean of expression, blurring the boundaries of accessory design.
Back in 2011 I started to systematically test this technology within my design practice and I continue to do so.
SPINECORSET is a bespoke piece, made to measure not in the traditional way tailors do.
Instead body datas are gathered using 3D scanning technology and the corset is then shaped digitally on a precise silhouette. It fits perfectly to the wearer body, sitting on the hips and hugging the torso.
The Corset can be customised for men as well.
