Alone in the Void

Artist Statement
My three works of art focus on the topic of mental health and the feelings of depression, loneliness and isolation one experiences while they are dealing with these issues. Mental health issues are a growing concern in the younger generations as more and more people are experiencing issues like depression, anxiety, and loneliness. Many of these people are burdened with the feelings of being alone and not being able to express their emotions either for fear or being ridiculed or ignored, thus they keep everything bottled up inside. My pieces: Lonely Hearts, Screaming Mind, and Hopeless Horizons capture the juxtaposition of the maelstrom of emotions one is weathering on the inside and the monochrome appearance they portray on the outside.
