Type Terminology booklet
For this project, I had to create my own type book that represents each of the following , then labeled each page in order:
- Table of Contents page
- Measures of Type/Line Length (good, short, and long)
- Example of Rivers in Type - 2 Examples
- Column of type with bad and good ragging
- Widow and Orphan
- Measure of type with bad and good hyphenation
- Type set with Small Caps
- Example of Em Dash, En Dash and Hyphen
- Drop Cap, Adjacent Cap, and Raised Cap
- Correct Quote Marks with Text, Correct Quote Marks with unit of measurement
- Centered, Justified, Flushed Left/Ragged Right Column, and Flush Right/Ragged Left of Text
- Mixed Fonts:
Serif & Sans Serif (typeset in a sentence or paragraph.)
Sans Serif & Script (typeset in a sentence or paragraph.)
Serif & Sans Serif (typeset in a sentence or paragraph.)
Sans Serif & Script (typeset in a sentence or paragraph.)
Mixed Fonts: same type family (typeset in a sentence or paragraph.)
