These photographs zoom in on one of the most important tools in our everyday life. Hands. From big too small, ranging in size and color. Hands are tools that have been used since the beginning of life. Since birth we’ve used our hands to grow, prosper, work, and create. In this project I paired quotes along with pictures that I’ve taken. My overall vision for this project was to show different hands in unique ways. I’ve taken time to really position the hands in these photographs in a way that will be appealing to the eye. I wanted to really show the unique details in everyone’s hands, while also attaching them to a quote.
If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people- Thich Nhat Hanh
