After finishing my notes on the article by Larry Basirico ‘Art as a Spiritual Experience’ I decided to research an artist whose work is considered to feel transportive, Wassily Kandinsky. 

 

This research helped me understand how certain shapes, textures and colours in different compositions can make one feel like they’re looking into a new world.

I enjoyed researching an artist who combines both science and art as this is something I’ve always loved doing myself, mixing academic topics with art. 

 

Despite his artwork not having any symbolic meanings, it still pushed my project forward as it helped me to efficiently integrate two different topics.
