Email Marketing Design
Research
For this project we worked with MailChimp to design a marketing email for one of the three options: Graduate Hotels, Ticketmaster for Oak Grove Gaming, or Academy Sports + Nike. We were provided a copy deck of each to include in our email design along with any other assets we gathered depending on the option we chose.
While working on this project I learned how to use MailChimp. It was a pretty easy website to use, everything was straightforward with how to use each tool so the process was simple and user friendly. Doing a design for a marketing email felt similar to designing for an advertisement so I incorporated knowledge I learned from my Interface Design class along with Port 1, Type in Motion, and this Interaction Design class because each of those classes had us work on some type of ad project. The main thing I kept in mind while working on the email was making sure to design it where it felt like it belonged to the brand. So I made sure to use similar colors and typefaces they used on their website along with imagery.
