I created this vote poster during the fall of 2022. I was tasked to choose a topic that I felt strongly about and convey a message about it. I chose the topic of women’s reproductive rights. During the 2022 midterm election,  I noticed that the topic of reproductive rights kept coming up and the idea of abortion bans was also coming up. This idea of women not being able to receive reproductive care was the idea that I decided to go with. In my poster, I illustrated pink boxing gloves in order to convey a feminine feel. I chose the phrase “Sigh, here we go again” because when reading news headlines and articles, that is exactly what I was saying to myself. It felt like women had to pick up the boxing gloves again and fight for what they wanted. The background is full black flood color in order to contrast to the pink words and boxing gloves. The background would draw viewers in and cause them to stop and take it in. Poster size: 18 x 24”
