National Prison Braille Logo and Website

This project was awarded a 2022 Award of Excellence by the Communicator Awards in the category of Digital Branded Content.

My client was in need of a new website design as well as a new logo. The new logo and branding for this organization needed to reflect a recent brand update made by the parent company. The client requested to keep a representation of braille incorporated into the logo itself since since they felt it had equity for their organization. As a community that places accessibility as a top priority, the logo and website needed to reflect the highest visibility and adhearence to WCAG standards.

Keeping that in mind, I recommended a black and white logo that would serve all members of the organization equally. The letters PB are shown in Braille inside of a box that incorporates a moving arrow to represent an inclosed network or community. The movement of the arrow suggests advancement and new opportunities. For the website design, I selected 2 accent colors from the parent company's pallette that accented the nature of this organization. With a new structure and mobile-first approach, this website update made the organization appear more professional and ready to tackle modern day problems.
