Unit2-40 The new jewelry

This book was recommended to me by teacher Oscar. I couldn't find it in the school library so I bought it on Amazon. I think this book is very good. I read through many artists in this book, whose works of art were all from the late 20th century. I never thought that artists would design such avant-garde works long ago.

Esther Knobel's work uses repetitive form aesthetics to create necklaces, giving people a retro feel. However, I think its work is novel and does not take the wearer's comfort into consideration, and its outer shape is too complicated.

The third picture gives me the feeling of a collision between figuration and abstraction. It is interesting to use the medium of jewelry to express some stories. Jewelry is also a sculpture worn by the body.

I like the shape of the left side of the fourth picture very much. I like complex shapes. If I were to make this shape, I might use wax carving techniques. I like to use this method to make irregular and complex shapes.

On the right is a work that I am very familiar with, but I did not expect that it was a work from 1983. I have learned a lot! I really like this sculptural shape that resembles the body. Of course, I am more curious about how this set of works is worn on the body. . .
