Cute Monster Vector Project

Brainstorming: How did technology enable you to gather inspiration and spark ideas for your project?
Technology helped me think of ideas for my project because with the help of Pinterest I was able to look at other examples of vector monsters that other people have created. I looked at the different varieties of monsters and had to decide many different things. I needed to figure out what color my own monster would be, how many eyes I wanted my monster to have, if I wanted my monster to have fur or not. By looking through Pinterest I was able to take separate parts from some of the vector monsters I found. I could put the elements that I wanted to include together to create a different, unique monster that was my own.

Execution: How would you go about carrying out your brilliant and inspiration message if this technology did not exist?
If this technology (pinterest) did not exist, I would have to use my own imagination and creativity. Technology makes the whole brainstorming process easier and quicker. Without it, I would’ve had to come up with a new monster without using anything else for reference. It would have taken me longer to think of an idea, and it might have not been as creative.

Reflection: Putting your artwork in context with the work of other artists is an important part of reflecting upon it. How does technology enable you to learn more from other artists?
Technology is very useful. It helps because you can see other artists’ ideas and it allows you to use them for reference. You can piggy back off of the projects and art that you come across. Then, you can come up with something different, but still creative. If you find something you like on the internet you can do create something similar, and still make it your own by adding your own special ideas and details.
