UNIverse: Digital Innovation
This subject focuses on the role of technology in design and how technology can be used to solve problems or create an immersive experience for consumers. Topics will cover current and emerging technologies in modern society, digital product design principles, and how to integrate technology for an innovative user experience.
UNIverse, (playing on the words U(You)-N-I, and Verse from Metaverse), is a AR/VR app that tackles mental health conditions such as loneliness and social anxiety by taking a step out to weave emotional connection with other users and forging new friendships.
Users can meet friends locally through AR. Users will be also able to travel internationally with the use of VR, to make friends overseas, as well as attend virtual meets that allow users to engage with other users all around the world for holidays like Christmas, Halloween, New Years and more.

We then had to branch out to tackle the problem in our own ways. I took the approach on love, how can we help those with social anxiety and yet want to form romantic relationships. Hence, I came up with Loverse. Loverse aims to foster romantic connections with people virtually first, especially those who are afraid to go on a first date.
Users can enjoy a virtual date with their match before meeting in real life.
The app will help plan the dates, all users just have to select what they would like the most. After the first date, the app will prompt the users to meet in real life.
There is also a Loverse Lobby, where you can meet other people in a common lobby. It has a lobby feature where it allows users to meet in a room setting where they will be able to see and converse with whoever is online at that exact moment. Users will also have avatars and can only use the avatar to enter the lobby. The avatars are fully customisable from their clothes to their hair colour.
