BinSina Website Redesign (UI/UX Case Study)

Problem Statement
Choose any 2–3 key UX/UI issues that you identify on the BinaSina website.

Current Website: https://www.binsina.ae/en/
Pain Points
1. Nobody added anything to their cart from the homepage.

2. I noticed that the color blue isn’t consistent across the site. They use different shades for the company logo, icons, links, and buttons.

3. Sections aren’t properly aligned.

4. The “Best Sellers” section is at the bottom, but it should be at the top so users can easily find popular products.

5. The cards have heavy shadows, making them look like they’re already selected or active.

6. There aren’t clear buttons prompting users to take action, like “add to cart” or “shop now.”

7. Instead of clear buttons with text, they use icons for adding products to the cart, which can confuse users.

8. All the fonts have weight, which are difficult to read.

9. No Visual Breaks are there.
Research
I conducted competitive research by analyzing websites like:

netmeds.com
buywow.in
apollopharmacy.in/
medkart.in/
mamaearth.in/

One key observation was that these websites prominently display their products on the homepage, allowing users to quickly add items to their carts. In our older version only featured product images without essential details like brand name, quantity, and price. So, I redesigned the homepage to showcase all categories with products, allowing users to add items directly to their carts.

Additionally, I noted that these websites prioritize their best-selling products by placing them at the top of the page. I did the same in our product card section. In the product card section, I used medium black text for brand names and descriptions, with offers highlighted in green for easy readability. To enhance user interaction, I implemented hover effects, causing the call-to-action (CTA) to change color and the card to appear in an active state, with the use of drop shadows.

They organize products by categories or brands, which helps users find what they want.

Lastly, We use visual breaks to prevent overwhelm on the homepage. To provide a seamless user experience, I maintained “F” rule for readability purposes.
