Making Strides: Branding a Multifaceted Champion
Carly Wopat is an unstoppable force. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches, she literally towers over her competition in the hybrid athletics space. As her popularity exploded online, she needed help creating a cohesive brand to fully capitalize on her momentum. 
More than an athlete
We first met Carly at a fitness competition in Los Angeles, where she clinched first place in her class. Carly, a native Californian, immediately stood out. She’s not just a powerhouse competitor; she’s also a professional beach volleyball player, a Stanford grad, and a top-ranking firefighter. There are many facets to Carly, but her unwavering commitment to self-improvement shines through in everything she does.

While Carly herself was remarkable, her brand was lacking. We felt she needed a strong, distinctive presence that could do the heavy lifting for future opportunities as she establishes herself further as an influencer and a physical juggernaut in the fast-growing fitness space.

To kick things off, we needed a solid understanding of who she is and what she aims to achieve. So, we organized a series of workshops tailored to capture Carly’s unique personality and clarify her distinct brand voice. Following this, we joined Carly in her environment—both at the beach and in the gym—to document her extensive workouts.

The brand system we created revolves around Carly’s strong voice. Bold typography, kinetic movement, and vibrant colors are combined with powerful video and photography to encapsulate all that Carly represents.
In today’s fast-paced world, you only have 8 seconds to capture someone’s attention before your post gets lost in the endless scroll. Recognizing Carly’s strong online presence, we knew we had to create engaging content to disrupt this cycle. We achieved this with custom videography, showcasing Carly in her element. This dynamic footage, paired with a motion-driven graphic system, effectively tells her story and empowers her followers at the same time.
Great branding evokes something deep within you – it’s a gut feeling. Witnessing Carly compete was truly inspiring, and we aimed to channel that same energy into her brand. The end result makes you want to get out of your seat and get after your goals.
Influencing is no easy feat. It requires a cohesive toolkit of easy-to-use graphics that can be applied on the go. Carly, the curator of all her own content, needed a system that could keep up with her hustle.
