Over the summer of 2022, Amazon Prime had all 25 James Bond films available to watch. So, over the course of two weeks, my partner and I binged all 25 films, and--well, my love for James Bond has been cemented ever since.

Of course, later that same year when my final project for my Motion Design course was to create a 30 second video using all of the techniques learned over the quarter: ease in and out, animating, masks, and synching kinetic typography to sound, etc. I knew that James Bond had to be my subject.

My goal was to create an homage to all of the Bonds we've seen on the silver screen, starting with Sean Connery and finishing with Daniel Craig. In order for this to feel like a James Bond piece I knew I had to include a few iconic moments: the gun barrel sequence, the theme song, and of course, "The name's Bond. James Bond."

By staying within a minimalist color scheme: red, black, and white, I was able to create a cohesive narrative across all iterations of Bond. These 3 colors provide high contrast and allow the red to act as the main focus, drawing your attention to the next scene and keeping the action moving.
