Flora

I was part of the Flora project, contributing to the research and foundation of the project and helping with the development of its concept.

Introducing Flora, a bridge between poetry and function. Rooted in the Japanese heritage of Omega Light, Flora transcends culture to provoke a fresh perspective on the world. Flip it upside down, and this rechargeable lamp gracefully transforms into an almost surreal vase.

Flora serves as a gentle yet powerful reminder of our connection with nature and the enduring beauty of poetry. Designed to bring joy to our fast-paced lives, it seamlessly transitions from a lamp to a poetic vase, inviting viewers to appreciate life’s subtleties. The intentional design encourages emotional connection and discovery, allowing for versatile interpretations, from elegant simplicity to surrealistic statements.
This versatile piece is a tribute to the universal appeal of poetry, mirroring the structure of Haiku in its three-part design—base, stem, and shade. Flora’s finishes range from monochrome subtlety to colorful extravagance, catering to diverse perceptions. User-friendliness is a priority, featuring touch-activated LED lights, adjustable intensity, and the ability to function as both a lamp and a small side table, promoting ease of use and adaptability.

Beyond aesthetics, Flora serves society by fostering connections with nature, culture, and poetry, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the world. It is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring a durable metal construction, easy assembly for recycling, and energy-efficient LED lighting. Affordability for the Brazilian market is a focus, ensuring that Flora not only provides efficient illumination but also emotional connection, making it a lasting and meaningful addition to one’s space.

Flora sprouts as an icon, a reverse poem that beckons to be shared.
