In the gloom of dawn, Elizabeth awoke to a shudder that seemed to shake the foundations of her small, cluttered room. As her eyes adjusted to the dim gray light, a heaviness settled in her heart. She tried to stretch, a morning ritual since she was young, but her arms refused to obey. Panic seized her chest, and when she looked down, her breath caught in her throat - instead of the usual lines of human hands, she saw thin, leathery bat wings stretched between graceful fingers.
At this moment, time seemed to stand still. Remembering the works of Kafka, she wondered if she had become a victim of the same incomprehensible transformation as poor Gregor Samsa. But unlike his hopeless crawl, Elizabeth found that gravity no longer held sway over her.
She could glide and soar around the room, touching the ceiling with the cold tips of her wings.
Days turned into weeks, and Elizabeth learned to live in a new way. Her way of life, her attitude, her self-perception - everything has changed. The mirror became her enemy and ally at the same time, reflecting a creature she feared but was beginning to understand. Every day the human sorrow decreased, and the bat's instincts became stronger.
In a world where she was once a woman, she has now become a symbol - dark, mysterious and free. Although many feared and avoided her, there were also those who sought her wisdom because she saw the world very differently.
The night became her kingdom, and her new essence became a cry from the soul, which echoed in every corner of her new, strange, but amazingly beautiful world.
Thank you very much for watching, I will be very glad to see your reactions!
