Project 3: PSA Posters for Local Farmers
For this project, I was asked to create a series of PSA posters that I could find in my local community. The objective was to create a campaign addressing a societal issue that would encourage, rather than scare, the public into changing their actions. After considering many topics that are personal to me, I chose the issue that was closest to my heart—one that not only affected me personally but also resonated with others in our class. Growing up, my father ran a business dedicated to bringing locally sourced produce, meats, and goods to our community through a brick-and-mortar store. Inspired by this experience, my goal was to shed light on the importance of supporting local farmers and businesses.
In my posters, I strive to raise awareness about the role local farmers play in our food supply chain. My call to action encourages locals to attend farmers’ markets or patronize stores that prioritize locally sourced produce. Below, you'll find my three final PSA posters, each designed to convey these concepts and inspire the community to get out there.
