Back in June 2022, I started working on a stave snare drum as it’s a project I’ve always wanted to complete and also ahead of my upcoming interview with a drum company.

This snare drum is made out of Oak wood and required building two types of jigs in order to create a circular shape both inside and outside of the shell.

I used a digital angle gauge in order to get the perfect inclination on the sides of each stave pieces which resulted in a perfectly joined shell.

After adding the laser engraved badge, lugs, hoops and drum skins I used it as a reference piece during my interview at the British drum Co. which got me the role of Drum Assembly Technician at their factory in Stockport.
