I was hired as the communications director for Greek InterVarsity in late 2008. One of my main tasks was to research, develop and launch the new website. When I began the process, I knew a few basics of HTML but that was about it. Along the way as the project encountered hurdles and setbacks, I took the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to overcome said challenges. The project involved moving from a custom internal CMS to a Drupal 6 site and developing an entirely new strategy for how the site could help serve students in fraternities and sororities.
