Intalio Flats

Intalio Flats is a residential community brand that will soon rise in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. This development focuses on providing a flexible living space for families and young professionals with smart-home integration. Positioned for accessibility, it offers a cost-effective option with innovative features, appealing to those seeking a practical investment.

The concept

For the Intalio Flats logo, I aimed to craft a design featuring a compelling logomark. Upon delving into market research and scrutinizing competitors, it became apparent that existing residential community brands in Cagayan de Oro predominantly utilize stylized wordmarks.

One of the distinct characteristics the client sought was for the brand to stand out, be accessible, modular, modern, and appeal to young consumers. Upon delving into the company's history, I discovered that the flower and hexagon were recurring elements in the client's prior products. With these foundational elements in mind, I had a clear starting point for the logo's conceptualization. I merely needed to find the optimal way to integrate these two concepts.

Upon encountering the hexagon, the notion of stacked cubes immediately resonated with me, considering condominiums are essentially modular rooms stacked atop one another. After several rounds of sketching, I arrived at a shape closely resembling a flower. Ultimately, I crafted a logomark that is modern, approachable, and simultaneously exhibits elements of rigidity and organic fluidity. I was confident that I had developed a strong logo concept.

In many residential community brand projects, there's often a tendency to stick with traditional, safe color palettes that are synonymous with corporate branding. However, when the brief highlighted the importance of appealing to the young professional market, it presented an opportunity to break away from this convention and explore more vibrant and youthful color schemes. Upon reflection, colors such as orange and teal emerged as particularly fitting choices.

By introducing these bold and distinctive colors into the brand palette, it not only sets Intalio apart from its competitors but also injects a sense of freshness and innovation into its visual identity. It's a departure from the muted tones typically associated with residential projects, signaling to potential buyers that Intalio offers something different and exciting.

Moreover, the decision to apply these colors in gradients across brand collateral adds another layer of visual interest and depth. This application serves to further enhance the brand's youthful and energetic appeal, making it an instant standout in a crowded market. Overall, the strategic use of color, coupled with the bold choice to incorporate gradients, contributes significantly to the overall impact and memorability of the Intalio Flats brand. It's a testament to the power of thoughtful design in capturing the essence of a brand and resonating with its target audience.
